Fans across the country are eagerly waiting for the upcoming period drama, Thugs of Hindostan. The logo and Amitabh Bachchan's look has been unveiled. Netizens and Bollywood buffs have appreciated both of them and are showing their interest to watch the movie which was going to release on the festive occasion of Diwali.
However, there is a bit change in the dates and Aamir Khan has postponed the release date of the movie to 8th November. Though this left some of the fans disappointed, however, Aamir Khan’s reason behind the date change is apt.
According to the reports in DNA, a trade source has revealed, “Aamir knows the business very well and it was he who suggested to the team to release the movie a day after Diwali. He’s well aware that the footfalls in the theatres drop considerably in the evenings on account of Lakshmi Puja. So, he strongly recommended deferring the release by a day to make sure the film gets the bumper opening it’s expected to take.”
Recently, Aamir Khan shared the first character Khudabaksh motion poster from the film featuring Amitabh Bachchan. The movie is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s novel Confession of a Thug and the cult of the Thuggee. Aamir Khan will play the lead role in the movie and the name of the character is Ameer Ali, the main character of the novel. The film is all set to release on 8th November and the makers claim that “it will be the biggest release that Bollywood has ever seen” and “promises to deliver a never-seen-before cinematic experience on the big screen.”
