Abhishek Bachchan is finally making his come back to the silver screen after a break of two years. He will be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s movie, Manmarziyaan which will hit the screens on 14th September.
Not just this, he has also signed another movie called Gulab Jamun where he will be sharing screen with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. We have seen how the actor had been trolled in the past for taking a break from movies.
In a recent interview with DNA, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spoke up about why did the actor did not show on screens for the past two years.
Aishwarya was asked as to why she chose to do Gulab Jamun. To this, the actress said, "I agreed on it early last year. At that time, Abhishek had taken a small break to review his work." 'Abhishek's Break from Work Was a Good Move' supporting her hubby's decision Aishwarya said, “It was a good move because I think every professional should do that. He just wanted to sit back and decide what he wanted to do next."
Then she told about her take coming back on the screens with his husband after 8 long years. “He chose Manmarziyaan then, and now with Anurag directing this one (Gulab Jamun) too, people have incidentally put it together and there have been a lot of re-mentions. We will set the plan to do this one soon”, said the actress.
She then talked about her upcoming 'Jasmine' & 'Raat Aur Din' Remake. "I had asked the makers of the surrogacy story (Jasmine) for a rewrite. There were two remakes (Woh Kaun Thi and Raat Aur Din), which were interesting ideas. I respect the movies of those times (the '60s). So, I asked them to get their rights in place”, she told.
And the wait is finally over. We will soon be witnessing the strongest couple of Bollywood sharing the screen space after a long time.
