Mira and Shahid are expecting their second child in the month of October. Mira is currently in her third trimester. As the time of the delivery approaches, the body of women starts depending more on the hormonal changes in it. Embracing this change, Mira Kapoor collaborated with Olay on a commercial and stepped into the showbiz world with her first TV ad.
As Mira shared the video of the TVC, she faced a lot of trolling and criticism on her video. The main reason behind the criticism faced by her was that she endorsed an anti-aging cream, being just 23.
In an interview with Times Now, Mira was asked about being trolled for the commercial over the net. To which she said, “The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It's not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel.”
She further added, “It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad.” Mira further shared nervousness while shooting for the ad, and said, “I won't lie, I was very nervous because doing an ad was completely out of my comfort zone. But I think what put me at ease was the nature of the ad, which was very conversational with real experiences. It was something I have already been through. I felt that I was just talking about something that I have gone through myself and from my own point of view. The natural synergy put me at ease.”

Earlier she was also criticised for the statement made by her on the role of working women. She had said, “I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and then rush off to work. Why did I have her then? She is not a puppy. I want to be there for her as a mother. Seeing her grow up cannot be quantified."
To this, she received a lot of backlash on social media. This hurt sentiment for the ones who go for work leaving their children behind at home.
