Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju is on a record-breaking spree as the film crosses the 300 crore mark at the box office. Now, talks are flowing in that legendary neo-noir filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is going to make another biopic on the controversial actor and his film is said to take a much realistic take on the actor’s life. The film is tentatively titled ‘Sanju: The Real Story’
Hirani’s film met with critical acclaim but it was also touted to be propaganda to whitewash Sanjay’s image. Sources say that Ram Gopal Varma will go guns out to tell the story and he will especially focus on the 1993 bomb blast case.
Varma confirmed this news to Mumbai Mirror, he said: “Yes, I am making the film”
Ram Gopal Varma actually loved Sanju for its emotional connect but he was irked on the fact that the film did not explore the bomb blast case thoroughly. A source close to Varma quoted: “That Dutt was doing drugs, was traumatized by his mother’s battle with cancer [she died just three days before the release of his first film Rocky], had multiple flings, many of them one night stands, is all well documented.”
RGV’s film will seep into details like what happened, when happened and why it all happened. RGV says that he will not just brush up the controversy that dragged the superstar for years, he would rather explore it thoroughly and present major plot points.
