Every day, we come across people and magazines telling us different tips to get skinny. The tips given to us by 80% of the sources are just myths. Like fats are bad, but they are not. We all overflowed with information around us. It is hard to believe what is right and what is not. We bring here, for you, the most common myths that prevail in the fitness industry.
1. 'I DON'T NEED THAT MUCH SLEEP'
The importance of sleep should never be underestimated. For a healthy body, sleep is as important as a balanced diet. You require a minimum of 7 hours of sleep to help your body function properly. Fewer hours of sleep can cause a reduced sex drive, chronic inflammation, weight gain and even an increased risk of dementia.
2. 'YOU NEED DAIRY FOR HEALTHY BONES'
Dairy doesn’t give you healthy bones according to a study conducted at Harvard School of public health.
3. 'ALL FATS ARE BAD'
This is one of the most dangerous myths. Fats are of two types- healthy and unhealthy. Healthy fats are essential for good health and help in balancing insulin levels.
4. 'YOU NEED TO DO HUNDREDS OF SQUATS FOR A PERFECT BUM'
Having a good booty is one of the most desired fitness goals for women. Squats alone cannot help in getting a better booty shape but other activities like hip thrusts, back extensions with glute squeeze and donkey kicks should be included as well.
5. YOU HAVE TO CUT OUT ALL SUGAR AND ALCOHOL TO SEE WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS
Cutting out on all the sugars and alcohol is not true. Eating just green vegetables and no alcohol entirely cannot give you the desired results. A healthy diet should be followed which should have healthy fats and carbohydrates in it.It is important to eat enough to keep the metabolism fast. One should eat more of the good and less of the bad.
