Rehna Hai Tere Dil Me actor R. Madhwan aka Maddy, who was last seen in crime thriller Vikram Vedha alongside Ashutosh Rana is now pulling his socks to play the controversial ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was framed in an espionage case and was later acquitted. The film will be helmed by Ananth Mahadevan and is said to be based upon Nambi’s autobiography Ormakalude Brahmanapadam.
Madhvan promises that the film will not whitewash Nambi’s image and will give a deeper insight into the controversial figure’s life. In an interview, he was seen saying, “We are determined to do justice to the extraordinary life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. He is one of the many unsung heroes of our country who deserves to be anointed with a worthy film. And I can’t think of anyone more qualified than my friend Ananth Mahadevan. He has researched Narayanan’s life thoroughly before getting down to making the film.”
On the work front, Madhwan has done the shooting for upcoming Telugu thriller Savyasachi. The actor is cast alongside Naga Chaitanya. Madhwan is also shooting for romantic drama Maara and is expecting to kickstart the biopic drama by the end of this year. Madhavan will be seen playing the protagonist in different stages of his life, from the age of 27 to 75. He will go under drastic weight gain process to fulfill the demand of the character. The project, to be made in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, is slated to go on the floors very soon.
