Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose last directorial venture ‘Padmavat’ had set the cash registers ringing at the box office is now prepping for his next which is touted to be a fantasy film. The director reportedly approached B-town’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan for the project but he has said ‘NO’ to the project.
The movie is said to be the remake of Malayalam film ‘Pulimurugan’ and deals with the issue of drug addiction. The Malyalam film had superstar Mohanlal in the lead role and the film won many critical acclaims. The film enjoys a 7.1 rating on IMDB and also holds the record of completing 10,000 full-house shows in 14 days
In the original flick, Mohanlal played the role of a warrior-hunter who goes to extreme limits to save his people from the societal problems and man-eating leopards. Bhansali wanted Hrithik to play the protagonist but Hrithik has denied working with Sanjay and it is indeed a shocking news because it was Bhansali’s film Guzzarish that gave Hrithik his career-best performance till date. And, every actor wants to work with Bhansali, courtesy- his success ratio but Hrithik blatantly said no to him. He has not cited any reasons as of now.
Bhansali is now looking for someone else to play the lead in his epic fantasy adventure film.
