The movie Sanju is out in the theatres now and making a killing at the box with its impressive opening on the very first day. According to Indian Express report, “After becoming the biggest opening of 2018, the film has also become the highest weekend grosser of 2018 with 120.6 crores.” The biopic has brought Sanjay’s life back in the eyes of public domain and people have appreciated the way Raj Kumar Hirani has portrayed the journey of Sanjay Dutt in the movie.
One of the characters from the movie which has become quite popular is of Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi, played by Vicky Kaushal in Sanju. Now the question is that who is the real-life person on which the character is based.
In an earlier interview with the Indian Express, Vicky had said that his character in the film is not based on one person but it’s a mixture of 4-5 people. He said, “The character is an amalgamation of three or four of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends in real life but primarily the character is based on Paresh Ghelani who is based in the US. He lives and works there.”
A leading website, Pinkvilla, has revealed the identity of Paresh Ghelani. As per a report on the website, Paresh lives in Los Angeles. Earlier, his family was settled in Chicago. He is an entrepreneur who has invested in many companies.
In the movie, Paresh has been shown as the support system of Sanjay Dutt and his strength during tough times. He was the man who made Sanjay come back from the clutches of drug addiction. His relationship with Sanjay strained after Sanjay was probed the US admiration for his links to the terror activities.
