Highlighting is currently trending. I’m sure you would also love to get that glow in the party. But the question that arises is do you really know the correct way to highlight?

Everyone prefers different kind of radiance and glow. Some would want the subtle look while others would like to have lit-from-within radiance.

We have brought to you the New York City-based make-up artist Lisa Rinaldi, who will tell you about the three stages of glow that you can understand easily with the help of the steps.

Getting a highlighter done does not mean that the highlighter has to show. For a wearable daytime glow, the make up artist mixed a medium-sheer CC cream base with the Erborian Glow Crème, a creamy highlighting primer she used for all of the looks.

To thicken the base of the top lash and to give the lashes a fuller look, Lisa uses the eyebrow pencil. To complete the look the artist uses the peachy-nude gloss on lips.
This level would be perfect for a date night. Lisa concentrated on perfecting skin by ‘contouring with texture' to bring the glow to the forefront.

After applying cc cream all over, use the bb cream that is 25% powder to add coverage to the skin. This would help in controlling the oily t- zone and would be best to the places where you want the highlight to stand out.

The artist used a matte blush to contour under the areas she highlighted to make them pop.

To complete the date night look, plum smoky eye and rose lips would be apt.

This is the look that you see on Instagram pictures.

For this look, the artist applies a triple dose of highlight to the face. Starting with Glow Crème as a makeup primer, she applied cc cream over top. The artist reapplied the Glow Crème to the high points on the face. The glow crème is hydrating cream and prevents your look to go cakey.

She went over that application with an iridescent powder highlighter and added a few dabs of cleansing oil to the eyes and at the top of the cheekbones for adding more glow to the look.
