Time magazine released the most awaited annual list of the 100 most influential people this Thursday. This time it has broken the record by recognizing 45 women and 45 people under the age of 40 on their list.
Deepika Padukone is listed to be one of the ‘Most Influential People in the World’ by Time magazine.
The list also includes other Indian influencers from India apart from Deepika Padukone:Bhavish Aggarwal - Ola co-founder, Virat Kohli - Indian cricket captain and Satya Nadella - Microsoft CEO.
To celebrate this honor, Deepika took it to Instagram with an adorable comment by Ranveer Singh:
The beautiful feature for Deepika was written by her xXx: The Return of Xander Cage co-star, Vin Diesel. He said, “When Deepika Padukone came in to read for one of the Fast and the Furious films, I knew instantly I was in the presence of someone very special”.
TIME editors in the past have mentioned, “The TIME 100 is a list of the world’s most influential men and women, not its most powerful, though those are not mutually exclusive terms. While power is certain, influence is subtle. As much as this exercise chronicles the achievements of the past year, we also focus on figures whose influence is likely to grow, so we can look around the corner to see what is coming.”
The popular star of Fast and Furious franchise further added "Anyone could talk about how beautiful she is, and anyone could tell you about her unmatched comedic timing. But she isn't just a star. She's an actor's actor, dedicated to the craft".
