Sunil Grover is not looking back in his career; the comedian-actor has made his comeback with his new web show Dhan Dhana Dhan where he plays, "Professor LBW (Leg Before Wicket), a self-proclaimed cricket expert". He has played supporting characters in movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Ghajini, Gabbar is Back and Baaghi. The comedian has made us giggle with his comic characters like Mashoor Gulati and Gutthi.
Sunil Grover will be next seen working with Vishal Bhardwaj in his upcoming comedy-drama titled Chhuriyaan. Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Manan are finalized to play the female lead role in the film. Vijay Raaz who is known for his comic timing in the Bollywood industry will also be part of the film. He will be playing the father of the female leads. Comedians like Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz are known for their comic characters and for sure, the movie can be a family entertainer.
The story of the film Chhuriyaan is about two sisters who are loggerheads with each other. Sunil won’t be playing opposite any of the female leads in the movie as he will play an important lead role in the movie.
While talking about Sunil’s character, Vishal told Mumbai Mirror, “I am very happy to have Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz as the two unconventional male leads of my film. Sunil plays a crucial and major part and I was surprised to know what a big star he is. He is a wonderful actor and person. I have noticed that everyone is eager to interact with him and now I am eager to shoot a great part with him too.”
Mumbai Mirror also reports that Chhuriyaan is expected to go on floors in the village of Raunsi by the end of this month. While the second schedule which will see Radhika and Sanya in a different avatar will be shot later in Abu Dhabi. Since the film is based in Rajasthan, the actors will also be enrolled in various workshops to get their rustic turns right.
Vishal further added, “All the actors are already learning a beautiful Rajasthani dialect for their roles. Since the narrative has a lot of scope for music, I am working on a five-six song album, packed with folklore and Rajasthani flavour. There will also be a very interesting dance number that I am looking forward to in the film,”.
