Chennai Super Kings will be playing against Kolkata Knight Riders tonight in the presence of their fans on the home ground after 2 years.
Chennai Super Kings have proved that they are back with a bang in their first match when they had a thrilling win over Mumbai Indians in the tournament openers. Fans would be expecting a great show from the skipper MS Dhoni in leading the team. Being the home ground for CSK, KKR might have to outperform to win the match. Though the battle between the two top teams would be fierce; however there are chances that KKR might have some advantages in the match.
Chennai Super Kings is still lacking in terms of batting order as Faf Du Plesis is not yet ready to play the IPL. He is having a slight side strain and a small fracture in a finger. South African middle order batsman is expected to be ready for the game in Mohali on April 15 against Kings XI Punjab.
Chennai Super Kings batting coach was addressing a pre match conference ahead of ahead of Tuesday’s game against KKR. He told the media about the team and future plans for the upcoming matches. On asked about Faf Du Plesis, the batting coach said, "I believe Faf is not in full training at the moment. He is recovering from a slight side strain. And he also has a small fracture in his one of his fingers. He is going to be ramping up his training in the next seven days. He is hopeful to be available for selection in the next game against Mohali.”
Another all rounder Kedar Jadav might not be able to play upcoming match after suffering a hamstring pull in the tournament opener against Mumbai Indians. So it seems that KKR might have advantage against CSK match in their home ground.
