After Tubelight’s Debacle, Salman Khan is criticised for his role in the movie. Salman is ruling the Bollywood industry with his fan following. However, in spite of so many speculations that Salman Khan’s Tubelight will set records in the Bollywood industry, the movie underperformed massively. According to media reports, “Tubelight has managed to earn just Rs. 112.75 crores till date”. According to critics, the movie is lacking in storyline and script. In a world, where critics give their opinions about movies, people around the country also play a major in setting agenda about the film through social media. Though, being a Salman Khan’s fan, I won’t be biased but honestly, I can name his movies in which he proved how versatile he is as an actor and his movies are not hit just because of his name.
5 Times When He Proved, He Is Versatile as an Actor
In this movie, Salman played the role of an honest and brave cop (Arjun Rawat) along with Arbaaz and Amrish Puri. The way he carried the role of an honest cop in the film is splendid and he fights against the powerful and corrupt politicians who are connected to underworld world. We still remember his style in the movie when he used the cross sign after killing the corrupt ones. Salman proved in the movie that he can do serious roles as well.
From this movie, Salman Khan made a comeback to Bollywood and everyone loved the movie’s plot and story. Salman Khan has played the role of ‘Radhe’, a gangster who kills other for money but only for the betterment of people in the society. Salman, at the end of the movie is revealed as an IPS officer Rajveer Singh Shekhawat. In this movie, Salman came up with a whole different avatar and was also awarded with IIFA Award for Best Actor.
Every cop in India can connect to this film, the “Robinhood” of Bollywood, Salman Khan played the role of Chulbul Pandey. Chulbul Pandey is known for his own style of eliminating corruption in the movie. The movie was a big hit and after this movie, Salman became the heartthrob of the nation with his style. Dabbang won six Filmfare awards and was one of the biggest hit in 2010.
In this movie, Salman shuts up the mouth of every hater who said that he can’t do versatile acting and is only doing the role in the same genre. Salman really worked hard for the character of a wrestler in the movie and his work was indeed appreciated by critics. The movie grossed approximately ₹ 584 crores and became the seventh highest grossing Indian film of all time. Salman was awarded Best Actor in Zee Cine Awards for Sultan.
Salman as ‘Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi’ in the movie is a Bhakt of Hanuman and believes in doing the right thing whatever the situation is, in life. The innocent character by Salman in the movie is simply amazing, the way he has portrayed the character. Salman Khan helped the cute girl ‘Munni’ to send her back to her home in Pakistan. This movie broke several records in the Bollywood Industry.
