There are different religions, and different kind of rules all around the world but some of them do not make much sense. We have so many important rule breaking rules that we can focus on, and get some real criminals but we focus more on the innocent kind of things that we consider crime. Obviously, it is easy to catch and arrest those people as they are doing no harm to the society or anyone, and are innocent. But why are we talking about it right now? Well, recently an Iranian couple has been arrested as the man had proposed to a girl in public (shopping mall) for marriage.

At a shopping mall in in Arak, Tehran, Iran the guy proposed the girl, and placed a ring on her finger as she said yes. With this all of the people at the mall cheered and clapped for the couple, and a footage was captured that went viral. We do not know the details of the couple, Iranian authorities condemned the act for breaking Islamic doctrines. They have been released on bail, but were they really doing any harm to the society? This all happened because the video went viral, and that is really sad as the content was posted so that people could appreciate the love.

Arak deputy police chief Mostafa Norouzi said “The young couple's 'offense is very clear and there is no need for explanation. It was unacceptable for the couple 'to do whatever is common in other places of the world and disregard mores, culture and religion'. Well, it is obviously common in other places around the world as there is nothing offensive they are doing there but every religion and country has different beliefs and laws and we have to respect it whether they seem right or not. According to the Islamic laws in Iran, men and women are forbidden from exhibiting public displays of affection as the country deems it an influence of corrupt Western ideals. Last year, a teen girl Maedeh Hojabri was arrested for posting a video in which she is dancing to some song in public as dancing in public is also a crime in the country.
