As a parent of a small baby, you need to be very careful about several things that have a direct or indirect impact on your child, including what snacks you feed them. You might think that a particular snack is healthy for your child but rather, it could be worse. Thus it is better to have adequate knowledge of what you should and shouldn't feed them. Here are five snacks that you shouldn't include in your child's diet.

Candied fruit
The additives contained in the preserves are citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and the like. Among them, sodium benzoate destroys vitamin B1 and affects the absorption of calcium by children. Instead of letting children eat candied fruit, it is better to use some seasonal fresh fruit instead, which is delicious and healthy.

The additives contained in the biscuit include sodium metabisulfite, citric acid, sorbitol, and a large amount of sodium metabisulfite can damage the body cells.

Instant noodles
There are up to 25 food additives in a package of instant noodles, such as sodium glutamate, caramel, citric acid, and tert-butyl hydroquinone. If children eat citric acid-containing foods for a long time, it may cause hypocalcemia. If your child wants to eat pasta, you can choose non-fried noodles such as egg noodles. The taste is smooth and much healthier than instant noodles.

Milk tea
The additives contained in the milk tea include potassium sorbate, sodium hexametaphosphate, etc., and the latter may cause a disorder of calcium metabolism.

Additives such as potassium sorbate, citric acid, and carrageenan are most commonly used in jelly. Excessive intake of potassium sorbate can cause allergic reactions and affect your child's absorption of calcium. And children who are too young are at risk of being caught when eating small jelly.
