And the super stardom of Aamir Khan has spoken once again, despite getting negative reviews from critics and audiences alike; Thugs Of Hindostan is off to a flying start at the box office. The action-adventure film, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles has raked in around Rs. 40-45 crores on Day 1.

The film was released on 7000 screens worldwide and ticket prices were also hiked. Now, everyone is eyeing if this film can break Dangal’s record of being the highest grossing Indian film ever or not. If trade experts are to be believed, the film will not be able to earn much (as per Aamir’s standards) as once the euphoria will get reduced because of negative reviews, the film will go on a downhill.

Talking about his collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir had commented: "I am specially nervous about this film for one reason that people are used to seeing my films with some message in it or some new concept. This is a film, which is really a mainstream kind of a film. So I am hoping that people will not get disappointed. I enjoyed doing the film, I hope the audience enjoys it as much."

The film will face no competition at the box office until three weeks, as after three weeks Rajnikant’s ambitious 2.O releases in India.
