Hyderabad: A brilliant unbeaten 98 by tailender Roston Chase helped West Indies end the day on a respectable score (295/7) after losing five wickets for just 113. At stump on day of 2nd test, Bishoo (2) was batting with Chase. For india pacer Umesh Yadav and spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, West Indies got off to a steady start with openers Brathwaite and Powel adding 32 runs on board but when they were looking settled, Ashwin had Powel (14) caught by Jadeja. 20 runs later Brathwaite (22) became Kuldeep Yadav’s first victim. The ball Landed on a length on off and spins back in to beat the inside edge. He took DRS but lost. Hawkeye showed this would've hit middle and off, and West Indies did not just lose their most solid batsman but also a review.
Later Hetmyer (12) and Ambris (18) too were scalped by Kuldeep. After a collapse like situation, Chase with Dowrich (30)and captain Holder (52) steadied the inning.
