MeToo Movement in India has finally arrived and some of the revelations are way too much shocking for general public. Though it is horrifying to see such big and respectable names in the forefront who are being accused of sexual harassment and misconduct but at the same time, it is a breath of fresh air. After Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar incident, people are finally coming out to share their horror stories.
Yesterday another reports came in where sexual allegations against Tanmay Bhatt and Gursimran Khamba from AIB and actor Rajat Kapoor were charged.
The Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) has dropped two films - AIB's "Chintu Ka Birthday" and Rajat Kapoor's "Kadakh" from the line-up of the upcoming 20th edition of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in the wake of the #MeToo tide.

The statement from MAMI read "We as an Academy (MAMI) strongly support the #MeToo movement. In light of recent developments, we have decided to drop the following films from our line-up - AIB's 'Chintu Ka Birthday' and Rajat Kapoor's 'Kadakh'".
The statement further said “We want to use this opportunity to open up the conversation, and find solutions to harassment and sexual misconduct in the workplace. Starting with this edition of the festival, we would like to unite the community to find positive and constructive ways to deal with it".
Hotstar also took the opportunity to join the bandwagon by calling out sexual predators. The web channel has cancelled the production of the On Air With AIB season 3. The company have strongly condemned the act, and to set an example and as a no-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct, broke off their association with AIB.

AIB has also announced on Monday that Bhat and Khamba are "stepping away" from the association from the company.
